Our research in Ethiopia

Research is considered a crucial cross-cutting component in development projects, serving as the foundation for understanding community needs, designing effective interventions, and evaluating project outcomes. In line with this, TLMI-E is beginning its research journey with two projects funded by the Leprosy Research Initiative (LRI). Both projects are aligned with the goal of advancing the Zero Discrimination Global Strategy.

Both of our research activities are being implimented in Addis Ababa, in collaboration with ALART Hospital-one of the leading leprosy referral hospitals-and associations of person affected by leprosy.
