Funding Call: Powering Change from Lived Experience

Funding Opportunity for Organisations Led by People Affected by Leprosy

The Leprosy Mission believes that lasting change happens when people most affected by leprosy lead the solutions.

This funding call is an invitation to organisations led by people affected by leprosy to turn their ideas into action — to address the challenges facing their communities, strengthen their organisations, and create change that lasts beyond a single project.

If your organisation is rooted in lived experience of leprosy and driven by a vision of dignity, inclusion and opportunity, we encourage you to apply.

Who Can Apply?

You are eligible to apply if your organisation:

  • Is led by people affected by leprosy, including at senior or board leadership level
  • Has a primary mission to serve people affected by leprosy
  • Can operate legally in the country where the project will be implemented
  • Has (or can open by 1 October 2026) an organisational bank account that can receive international funds

Please note: applications from individuals are not eligible.

What Can Be Funded?

We are looking for projects that have a budget of up to £10,000 per year for up to two years:

  • Address a clear, locally identified problem affecting people affected by leprosy
  • Demonstrate how people affected by leprosy were involved in shaping the project
  • Deliver realistic, achievable improvements within the project timeframe
  • Strengthen your organisation’s skills, capacity or long-term sustainability

Projects should aim to start on 1 October 2026 and can run for one year or up to two years.
