Arie de Kruijff

Although the fight against leprosy has been going on for many years, it is increasingly necessary to find new and more effective ways to complete the most difficult last lap of this race. Arie is responsible for growing a culture of innovation and improvement across the TLM Fellowship that would add value and accelerate the momentum to defeat leprosy and transform lives.

Arie has worked for 20 years as the TLM country leader in Mozambique where he gained insights into the real world difficulties of the leprosy care system from the National to the Grassroots levels.

Originally from South Africa, he now lives with his wife MariƩ and 3 teens in Kenya. He is energised when teams find new valuable insights to addressing old problems with a dash of design thinking and systems theory on top, or the occasional game of chess.
