Caroline (Hla Hla) Aye

Hla Hla Aye, also known as Caroline Mawia, is a medical doctor by profession, she is Bishop Mawia’s wife, a member of the Methodist English Church, and works currently as a consultant for the World Health Organization specialising in Human Resources for Health (HRH) and as a Reproductive Maternal Child, New born and Adolescent Health (RMNCAH) program specialist.

She has a passion for empowering people to live healthy lives and an active advocate for young people and women’s sexual and reproductive health and rights. She is passionate to speak up for the voiceless and differently abled people, an advocate for knowledge and education as powerful tools for better decision making and behavioural change for better lives. She has confidence in unbiased media as a powerful weapon to educate for public goods, development, social cohesion and harmonious coexistence. She is Chair of The Leprosy Mission Myanmar.
