McKean Rehabilitation Centre
TLM works alongside other organisations to provide financial support for McKean, the only leprosy referral centre in north Thailand.

The hospital provides a comprehensive range of services for patients disabled by leprosy and other diseases. These include reconstructive surgery, hospital-based disability care, and mobility aids for independent living.

South East Asia - Thailand An active Socio-Economic Rehabilitation programme enables former patients to live fulfilled, economically independent lives. Beneficiaries of projects are trained in environmentally friendly agricultural techniques using plant fertilizers and soil conservation. Through micro-credit schemes, loans are provided for small businesses, and banks for seeds and buffalos.

The hospital works closely with government health workers providing training t identifying the early signs of leprosy and also in Community Based Rehabilitation. Weekly clinics and leprosy survey work are held in the outlying areas near the hospital.
