South Africa

TLM works in a number of provinces in South Africa covering a wide range of leprosy related needs.

Village health workers are trained in leprosy control, ensuring that skills are maintained to effectively treat leprosy and prevent disability.

Leprosy patients are taught how to prevent further injuries to insensitive hands and feet, and awareness raising and education are also used to aid leprosy control.
