For Sita, the young Nepalese girl, leprosy has been a life-long companion. She was just 9 when she was first diagnosed with leprosy.
It was her teacher at school who first noticed the signs of leprosy, and she was taken to The Leprosy Mission’s Anandaban Hospital for treatment.
Sita is now 11 and in class 6 at school. Through care and treatment, she has the chance to break the cycle of leprosy that exists in her family.
